With extension and menu options,
you can provide your callers with customized menu options so that they can press
a button on their phone while your greeting is playing and access different
options available.
For example, you can record a greeting saying,
"Thank you for calling ABC Company. Our business hours are from 8am to 5pm. If
you would like to speak to John, Press 1 now. If you would like to speak to
Mary, Press 2 now. If you would like to send us a numeric message, press 9 now.
If you would like to disconnect and call back at a later time, Press 9 now."
During anytime this greeting is playing, your caller can press a button
accordingly and take different actions.

To customize your menu options:
1. Click on 'Settings' tab.
2. Click on 'Extensions & Menus' menu.
3. In the 'Menu Options' section, you should be able to see
0,1,2,...,9,*,#. These correspond to the available buttons
on a normal
phone.
4. Choose an option for each button. Default option is 'Repeat Greeting'
5. Click on 'Save'.
Following are the options available for you to set up on a button.

Call Transfers: Transfer your callers to you by using the indicated transfer #(s). Your callers hear your main greeting and if they press this key they be transferred to you. Live Operator: Connect the caller to the Live Operator. Disabled Option: Play "Invalid Option" and repeat the Greeting. Record Voice Message: Immediately record a voice message. Record Numeric Message: Immediately record a numeric message (used for notifications.) Record Voice and Numeric Message: Immediately record a Voice message followed by a Numeric message. Record an Urgent Message: Immediately record a message and tags it for Notification (used for notifications.) Fax Tone / Receive Fax: Generates Fax tone to receive fax. Mailbox Access: Prompt you enter your Pass-code. Repeat Greeting: Repeat the greeting. Disconnect: Terminate the call. |
