• How do I record my greetings?
You can record up to seven (7) different greetings. Turn on any of your
greetings by accessing your virtual number at any time. Your virtual number can
play different greetings depending on the time of the day and day of the week
(greetings for business hours, nights, weekend, holidays, etc.) Greetings can be
used for music on-hold (while the calls are transferring to you). Also, you can
determine which greeting to be used if your transferred call was busy and/or you
did not answer the call. Greetings can automatically be changed depending on the
callers, for example play greeting #1 for callers with caller ID and greeting #2
for blocked ID. If you use the Caller Groups, you can specify different
greetings for each group of callers depending on their Caller ID.

• How can someone send me a fax?
Someone can send a fax to your virtual number the same way they would send a fax to a fax machine. From a fax machine the sender must enter your virtual number as, for example, "12136831319".
Assuming the fax is sent
successfully, we will detect a fax tone on your virtual number and automatically
route the fax as a TIFF or PDF encoded email attachment to your Inbox. Please
refer to the section entitled "How do i view my fax?"
for information on how to display your fax.
Back
• How do I view my fax?
The fax message you receive in your email account will contain an attachment of
your fax. Download the attachment to view the full-size fax image using a
software application on your computer.
All fax messages are stored as
TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) or Adobe PDF encoded email attachments. Most
Windows PCs come with applications that can read this file format.
Back
• How do I print my fax?
If you are using a Windows PC, you
can display and print faxes you receive using a software program called
Imaging for Windows.
If you are using the
Imaging for Windows software to print our faxes and they
come out "black", it may be caused by an incompatibility between your printer
and the viewer. In this case we recommend downloading (for free) and installing
another Windows fax viewer.
Back
• Am I charged for sending or receiving a fax?
You are not charged for receiving faxes. For sending, if you are dialing out of
our local coverage area, long distance charges are applied.
